About the Frost School of Music - University of Miami

The Frost School of Music is one of the largest and best music schools located in a private university in the U.S. and one of the most comprehensive in all of higher education. Building on its foundation as a conservatory of music, the school provides master's classes with noted guest artists and composers, and a wide variety of degree offerings in virtually every area of musical study and research.

Established in 1925 during the region's famous real estate boom, the University of Miami is a private research university with more than 15,000 students from around the world. Comprised of 12 schools and colleges, the university serves undergraduate and graduate students in more than 180 majors and programs.

The Phillip and Patricia Frost School of Music at the University of Miami has been an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music since 1939.
